National Policy on Education -1986 envisaged establishment of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya across the length and breadth of the country to provide access to quality education for the children predominantly from rural areas. These Vidyalayas aim at inculcation of cultural values, promotion of National Integration, implementation of Three Language Formula. They are intended to be pace –setting institutions in the district sharing their resources and providing leadership to the Secondary school system in the district. These Vidyalayas have introduced variety of activities and methods for improving teaching learning process. Efforts are made to develop it ‘child centered’ and ‘child friendly ’and through effective use of Information Technology and multimedia inputs. JNV Rewar, with above aim and idea, is located in the lap of nature in Nawada district of Bihar at a distance of 27 Km. from district town of Nawada. It is extended in the area of 33.34 Acres in the Rewar mauza and is linked with a pukka road from Pakribarawan Block-head quarter of the locality. In the rural locality Vidyalaya provides modern quality education supported by recent teaching aids and pedagogy. Vidyalaya is imparting computer Literacy Programme and is effectively working in the area of pace setting activity. This can be witnessed by annual increase in the nos of applicants in JNVST and other lateral entry admission. Besides,disabled children are also getting education in favorable condition nurtured by qualified staff members. Experienced physical teachers are engaged to provide physical fitness training to the students for their sound development of physique and personality.
